In 2024, the level of global debt increased by $7 trillion, experts said. Analysts expect government borrowing to remain high in 2025. However, the growth of this indicator is expected to slow down in the future.

The world's debt is mainly made up of borrowings from the U.S., France, China, India and Brazil.
