January 31, Fineko/abc.az. According to statistics from the central banks of Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the volume of money transfers from Russia to these countries continued to decrease in 2024.
ABC.AZ informs that this data covers transfers carried out through the banking infrastructure and money transfer systems such as Zolotaya Korona, Unistream and Contact. During the period from January to September 2024, the volume of transfers from Russia to Azerbaijan decreased by half, amounting to $410.7 million.
The volume of money transfers from Russia to Kazakhstan in 2024 reached $132.8 million, or 61.8 billion tenge. Thus, over the year, the indicator in dollars declined by 44%, in tenge - by 43%. In 2024, $541.2 million was sent from Russia to Georgia through money transfer systems, which is 65% less than the result of 2023, at that time it was $1.5 billion. The volume of transfers from Russia to Armenia for 11 months of 2024 (latest data) dropped by 13%: $3.2 billion in January-November 2024 against $3.6 billion in January-November 2023.
