December 26, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Nov 2024, interests and related expenses of banks in Azerbaijan exceeded 1 billion manats.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that for the past 11 months of 2024, the total interest expenses of banks amounted to 1.9 billion manats, including interest expenses on deposits - 813.4 million manats.

703.4 million manats of interest expenses on deposits included interests paid on term deposits.

For comparison, in 11 months of 2023, total interest expenses of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 755.7 million manats, including interest expenses on deposits - 536.5 million manats, as well as interest expenses on term deposits - 450.4 million manats.

In recent months, banks have increased deposit rates.
