November 25, Fineko/abc.az. The current account surplus of Azerbaijan's balance of payments for 2025 is projected at 5.6% of GDP.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov said about this at the Milli Majlis plenary session, when discussing the Draft State Budget for 2025.

According to Jabbarov, in 2025-2028, taking into account forecasts for oil and gas production, the current account surplus is expected to reach about 3% of GDP per year.

The minister noted that for 2025, Azerbaijan's nominal GDP is projected at 129.2 billion manats, including non-oil and gas - 92.2 billion manats:

"Taking into account the projected oil price of $70 in 2025 and $65 in 2026-2028, GDP per capita is expected to reach $7,412 in 2025 and $8,522 by the end of 2028."

The minister noted that real GDP in the country is expected to reach 14.4%, and GDP growth in the non-oil sector is expected to be 1.3-fold.

"GDP per capita in the period before COVID in 2019 was about $4,850, and by the end of 2024 this figure is expected to be about $7,200," Jabbarov said.
