November 25, Fineko/abc.az. The projected social expenditures of the State Budget for the next year amount to 6.313 billion manats (1.6-fold more versus the same indicator in 2021), ABC.AZ reports, referring to Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov as saying this at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.

The minister added that next year the corresponding amount of funds in the State Budget is provided for increasing salaries, pensions, social benefits and scholarships, which form the basis of socially oriented expenditures.

"4.812 billion manats will be allocated from the State Budget next year to strengthen the social protection of vulnerable segments of the population and for social security expenses, which is 420 million manats or 9.6% more than this year," the minister said.
