Azerbaijan increased fruit imports - exports lowered

November 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2024, Azerbaijan imported 287,878 tons of fruits and vegetables for $218.348 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that in value terms the figure is $40.455 million (22.7%), and in quantity is more than 13,820 tons (5.04%) against Jan-Oct 2023.

Imports of fruits and vegetables for the past 10 months made up 1.31% of country's total imports.

Also during this period, Azerbaijan exported 515,707 tons of fruits and vegetables for $535.26 million.

This indicator is $9.407 million (1.7%) in value, and 22,054 tons (4.1%) less in quantity in annual comparison.

In 10 months, the export of fruits and vegetables made up 2.35% of country's total exports.
