ABC.AZ reports, quoting Finance Minister Samir Sharifov as saying this during the discussion of the Draft State Budget for next year at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis committees on legal policy and state building, defense, security and anti-corruption, human rights and regional issues.

The minister noted that the State Budget 2025 expenditures are 12.5% more than in the initial approved budget for 2024:

"During the pandemic, we saw budget cuts. Compared with 2021, State Budget expenditures for 2025 grew by 50%."
