Report on poverty level in Latin America presented

 November 18, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, the poverty rate in Latin America decreased significantly, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the report of the Economic Commission for Latin America & the Caribbean.

According to the Commission, 26.8% of the Latin American population, or 170 million people, live below the poverty line. This means a decrease of 0.5% compared with 2023. The income of people in this category is not enough to meet their basic needs.

The authors of the report stated that Latin America has made very serious progress in reducing poverty.
