 November 14, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani banks have implemented a number of important initiatives within Sustainable Financing Roadmap 2023-26.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan, as saying this at event Global Financial System: Boosting Climate Action Financing" during COP29 in Baku.

"One of them is the principles of sustainable and green financing, which banks have already begun to incorporate into their strategies, risk management practices, and other processes. These measures comply with the principles of sustainable financing for financial institutions and guidelines on climate risk management published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Another initiative is sustainable products and services. Banks are actively developing sustainable products and services, including digital banking solutions, eco-friendly products and social responsibility," he noted.
