ABC.AZ reports, quoting Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, CEO of COP29 for Azerbaijan Elnur Soltanov, as saying this during a panel meeting held in Baku within the preliminary Conference of the Parties to the United Nations on Climate Change (Pre-COP29).

"When we developed our COP29 energy initiatives together with the Ministry of Energy, we were inspired by a specific initiative, including a threefold increase in renewable energy sources and a twofold increase in energy efficiency. Most energy initiatives are what we call network modernization, local and international green energy corridors and network-scale storage facilities, aren't they? Another point that I want to draw attention to is that Azerbaijan has begun to implement the obligations of the initiative," he said.
