September 26, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in circulation through the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 227,000 cards at the end of August compared with July and reached 18.567 million cards.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that compared with the 2023 same term, this figure grew by 18.5%.

Growth on debit cards was 19.6% and on credit cards - 10.9%.

The growth of payment cards has had positive impact on non-cash payments. Thus, the non-cash transactions within the country increased 1.5-fold versus the 2023 same term.
