September 25, Fineko/abc.az. The money transfers to Azerbaijan from the Persian Gulf countries, as well as from the United Arab Emirates, increased by 5% in the 1st half of this year compared with the previous year.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that $15.08 million was transferred from the UAE to individuals in Azerbaijan in the first 6 months of 2024.

For the same period of 2023, $14.36 million was transferred.

Money transfers from Saudi Arabia increased by 23% versus Jan-Jun 2023, exceeding $9.37 million, from Qatar – by 31%, exceeding $ 5.16 million, and from Kuwait decreased by 5% to $1.61 million.
