In June, deposits of individuals in banks grew by 480.7 million manats

July 23, Fineko/abc.az. In June 2024, the deposits of individuals in banks (term + current) increased by 3.6% or by 480.7 million manats.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that 86.5% of the growth (415.8 million manats) accounted for deposits in national currency and 13.5% (65 million manats) for deposits in foreign currency.

65.6% of deposits of individuals (9.1 million manats) are in the national currency and 34.4% (4,779.8 million manats) — in foreign currency.

55.8% of the portfolio of deposits of individuals (7,750.6 million manats) are term deposits.

Demand deposits of legal entities totaled 16.25 billion manats (76.3% of the total deposit portfolio of legal entities).

The dollarization of individual deposits in June decreased by 2.6 p.p. against June 2023 and made up 33.9%.
