July 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AQTA) has revealed serious shortcomings within the measures to control bio-active additives (dietary supplements) imported into the country.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to AQTA that it was found that in order to make easy profits, some entrepreneurs are trying to import ineffective dietary supplements advertised in various social networks and media.

Most of the additives are imported in Azerbaijan from Türkiye, many of them are not registered and are not in circulation in the producing country.

AQTA warns that measures to prevent the turnover of low-quality domestic and imported dietary supplements are aimed at ensuring the safety of life and health of the population.
