June 28, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has invested USD 100 million in the education network in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
ABC.AZ reports that SOFAZ invested in "GEMS Education" company on June 17, 2024 as a member of the investor consortium. This consortium was managed by Brookfield Asset Management, one of the world's largest investment companies in alternative investment management.
The company was founded in 1959 in the United Arab Emirates. More than 135,000 students study in more than 40 schools located in the UAE, where the company has a significant market share.
