June 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May, oil transportation through main oil pipelines in Azerbaijan decreased by 1.78% to 15.97 million tons.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 75.1% of deliveries were carried out via main export oil pipeline Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC), and for Jan-May 2024 oil transportation through this pipeline dropped by 3.6% to 11.986 million tons.

81.3%, or 9.749 million tons of oil transported through the BTC pipeline during the period, was oil produced in Azerbaijan, and 18.7%, or 2.237 million tons, was oil coming from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
