May 1, Fineko/abc.az. The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has decided to reduce the discount rate by 0.25 percentage points - from 7.5% to 7.25%.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that the lower threshold of the interest rate corridor was maintained at 6.25% and the upper one was cut to 8.25% from 8.5%.

The decision comes into force tomorrow.

CBA’s next meeting on the issue of the discount rate will be held on June 21.
