Number of token payments grew 3.5-fold against previous year

March 14, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, every 4 transactions with POS-terminals installed in business entities are carried out through ApplePay and GooglePay.

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s executive director Farid Osmanov stated about this at Baku event "Visa Cashless Forum 2024 – Digital Azerbaijan".

He added that by the end of last year, the number of payments using tokens increased 3.5-fold compared with the previous year.
