March 5, Fineko/abc.az. Tourists spent a total of 193.25 million manats in Azerbaijan in January 2024 (80.84 million manats or 71.9% more against January 2023 – 112.4 million manats), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Of the total expenses, 87.434 million manats accounted for transport, 37.207 million manats for accommodation, 40.3 million manats for food, 837,700 manats for culture, 83,800 manats for purchase of a tourist package, 212,700 manats for vehicle rental, 1.65 million manats for sports and entertainment services, 18.139 million manats for purchase of goods, gifts, as well as other expenses amounted to 7.945 million manats.

Compared with the previous year, transport costs increased by 45.345 million or 2-fold, accommodation costs – 11.625 million manats or 45.4%, food costs – 14.988 million manats or 59.2%, cultural costs – 243,100 manats or 40.9%, acquisition costs tourist package – 32,400 manats or 63%, rental of vehicles - expenses for sports and entertainment services — by 63,700 manats or 41.5%, expenses on purchase of goods and gifts by 602,400 manats or 2.3-fold, purchase of goods and gifts – by 6.7 million manats or by 50.3%, other expenses - by 1.87 million manats or by 30.8%.
