February 20, Fineko/abc.az. This January, 147,700 Azerbaijani citizens visited foreign countries (35.1% more than in January 2023).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Russia grew by 37%, to Georgia by 36.9%, to Türkiye by 29.3%, and to Iran by 23%.

36.6% of Azerbaijani citizens visited Türkiye, 22% - Russia, 10.6% - Georgia, 8.2% - Iran, and 22.6% - other countries.

69.1% of Azerbaijani citizens who visited foreign countries in January traveled by air, 28.8% by rail and road, and 2.1% by sea.
