January 30, Fineko/abc.az. Artificial diamonds produced in laboratory conditions are used in many industries, in the manufacture of medical equipment, and in the military industry. The use and application of artificial diamonds is growing rapidly.

ABC.AZ reports that Zakir Ibragimov, chairman of board at AzerGold CJSC, stated about this.

Ibragimov noted that last autumn the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AzerGold and an Indian company for creation of such a production facility in the Alat Free Economic Zone: "We are satisfied with the terms of the agreement. The only difference is that an artificial diamond is created in a shorter period of 2-3 weeks. I’d like to note that the raw materials for artificial diamonds are obtained from natural diamonds."
