January 24, Fineko/abc.az. The interest of foreigners in the manat is growing in Azerbaijan, and the volume of deposits in the manat has reached 400 million manats.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that as of January 1, 2024, 394 million manats (153.3 million manats of the current account) of deposits of non-resident individuals were placed in Azerbaijani banks.

The volume of foreign deposits in manats at the beginning of 2023 amounted to 334.1 million manats.

The volume of long-term deposits of foreigners in manats is 89.3 million manats.

In total, foreigners had deposits in banks worth 1.242 bn manats in equivalent, of which 848.4 million manats were in foreign currency.
