Azerbaijan is projected to have budget surplus in next two years

January 22, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's economic growth declined to about 1.4% in 2023, and we predict that GDP growth will be relatively low over the next two years.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report of international rating agency Fitch Ratings.

Fitch believes that the current account surplus will continue to remain in double digits over the next two years. The rating agency also noted that above the budgeted oil prices and the growth of non-oil revenues in the same period will maintain the surplus of the consolidated budget of Azerbaijan.
