January 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan, with participation of the State Oil Fund, has conducted a currency auction.

According to the CBA, at the currency auction on January 9, 2024, the demand of banks amounted to $74.9 million and was fully secured. This is $2.9 million, or 3.73% less than at the last auction. At the currency auction on December 28, 2023, the CBA sold $77.8 million to banks.

Following today's auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat was formed at the level of 1.7000 AZN/USD.
