January 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani banks write off accounts payable of veterans of the Patriotic War on the basis of a number of additional appeals.

ABC.AZ reports that Association of Banks of Azerbaijan’s chairman Zakir Nuriyev stated to journalists.

"The debts of persons, who died in the Patriotic War during the last anti-terrorist operations and before them, as well as their family members, were fully written off. At that, accrued interests on the credit debts of our gazis (war veterans) were halted. In addition, based on a number of additional requests, existing debts will be written off. And in the coming period, the banking and insurance systems of Azerbaijan will provide close support in solving emerging problems," Nuriyev said.
