December 25, Fineko/abc.az. In the course of research conducted by the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision, cases of violations of the requirements of advertising legislation were revealed when advertising a number of goods or services by 90 market participants in 11 months of this year.

ABC.AZ reports that violations identified as a result of the measures taken were voluntarily eliminated by these market participants, and the Service was instructed (letter) to prevent such violations in their future activities.

The Service said in a statement that an additional case was initiated against 5 market entities on grounds of unfair competition using unfair, inaccurate and hidden advertising methods affecting consumer freedom of choice.

According to the requirements of the Law on Advertising, the use of unfair, inaccurate and hidden advertising methods is not allowed.
