December 22, Fineko/abc.az. UPI - Universal Packing Industry CJSC, a resident of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, will start working at full capacity from the beginning of next year, ABC.AZ reports, quoting company’s director Fikret Veliyev.

He added that UPI - Universal Packing Industry, an enterprise for production of packaging output (corrugated cardboard, files, etc.), has already produced about 500,000 files. These files are aimed at meeting the demand of the domestic market.

The company will purchase the raw materials needed to start cardboard production in Russia. It is planned to import 380,000 tons of paper from Russia, and from the beginning of next year to start production of cardboard. At the initial stage, about 500,000 sq m a month of cardboard will be produced. In the next stages, it is planned to increase the production of cardboard to 25 million sq m.

The total investment value of the enterprise exceeds 4.8 million manats. The plant started operating in October of this year.
