December 22, Fineko/abc.az. S&P Global Ratings has raised the issue of gradual decrease of dollarization of deposits in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports with reference to rating agency’s new assessment.

Deposits in foreign currency declined from 79% at the end of 2015 to 41% of the total volume of customer deposits as of October 31, 2023.

The agency notes that, for comparison, this indicator is significantly higher in the countries of the region than in Azerbaijan. So, in Georgia, this share is 51%, and in Armenia - 50%.
