December 12, Fineko/abc.az. The hotels in Azerbaijan earned a total of 370 million manats for Jan-Sept 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that most of the income earned in the hotel business accounted for Baku.

Thus, the revenue of hotels located in Baku reached 235.5 million manats in the first 9 months. In other words, Baku accounts for two thirds, or 64%, of the total revenue of hotels across the country. Gabala district, one of the main tourist cities of the country with 27.8 million manats, is in second place in terms of hotel income. The earnings of hotels in Gusar district (hotels in Shahdag are located in this district) amounted to 18.7 million manats, which is the 3rd indicator in the country.

Hotels in Guba district occupy the 4th place with income of 17.3 million manats, and hotels in the city of Shabran take the 5th place with income of 10.2 million manats.

10.1 million manats were spent on hotels in Naftalan, which ranks 6th in terms of revenue, over the first 9 months of 2023. Hotels earned 8.8 million manats in Lankaran district, about 8 million manats in Khachmaz district, 5.8 million manats in Shemakha district, and 5.7 million manats in Ismailli district.

In addition, in 9 months, hotels in Gakh district earned 2.2 million manats, in Masalli district - 1.7 million manats, in Sumgait - 1.3 million manats, and in Astara district – 831,900 manats.
