November 16, Fineko/abc.az. Digitalization leads to economic growth in a number of countries, including Azerbaijan, and promotes "green" growth.

ABC.AZ reports that Aliya Azimova, the head of the IFC representative office in Azerbaijan, stated aboutthis at the II Baku Forum "Sustainable Financing & Investments".

She added that the IFC is interested in digitalization in Azerbaijan:

"The IFC closely cooperates with the private sector of Azerbaijan, primarily with banks and the financial sector. To date, finances have been allocated for 600 projects in Azerbaijan. Digitalization is also important in terms of diversification of transport corridors. According to the diagnostic report prepared by us on Azerbaijan, the country has potential to attract private investments for $1 billion for creation of digital infrastructure, $600 million in logistics and $1 billion in digital finance."
