October 13, Fineko/abc.az. The powers of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) are expanded.
ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendment proposed to the Law on the Central Bank, submitted for discussion at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.
Under the amending bill, in order to ensure the stability and sustainability of financial markets, the CBA will license, regulate and control activities of payment organizations, electronic money organizations, payment system operators as other participants in financial markets.
