October 12, Fineko/abc.az. 1,162,949 people from 183 countries came to Azerbaijan for Jan-Sept 2023 (32% more versus Jan-Sept 2022).

ABC.AZ reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that in September alone, the number of tourists increased by 21% year-on-year and reached 158,803 people.

Russia leads Top 15 of countries, from which tourists visited Azerbaijan last month. In September, 50,500 people came to Azerbaijan from Russia. Türkiye with 36,100 people and Iran with 15,500 people completed Top 3.

The list also include India (11,600), Georgia (10,000), Saudi Arabia (7,000), Kazakhstan (6,700), Pakistan (5,500), Israel (4,300), China ( 4,000), Uzbekistan (3,600), Kuwait (3,100), Ukraine (3,000), Turkmenistan (2,300), and the U.S. (2,200).
