October 14, Fineko/abc.az. This September, the number of weekly transactions through the Instant Payment System (AOS) of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan exceeded 1 million for the first time, and the monthly turnover was 2 billion manats.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan informs that for Jan-Sept 2026, 102.15 million transactions for 8.84 billion manats were conducted through AOS. Compared to the same period of the previous year, turnover increased 5.7 times, and the number of transactions increased 25.1 times.

Payments via AOS are made in real time around the clock, without days off or holidays (24/7), providing financial institutions and paid service providers with the ability to flexibly manage funds. The opportunities and solutions provided by the system contribute to the expansion of the country's payment ecosystem and the creation of new digital payment services.
