August 21, Fineko/abc.az. In January-July this year, AZN 388.383 million of insurance premiums were collected in Azerbaijan from the types of life insurance.

ABC.AZ refers to the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan saying this is 32% more than in the same period last year.

Receipts on the accounts of types of insurance, not related to life insurance, amounted to AZN 373.418 million over the past 7 months, up 30.4% from a year ago.

During the reporting period, payments on types of life insurance increased by 24.8%, reaching AZN 167.737 million, while payments on types of insurance not related to life insurance increased by 8%, reaching AZN115.24 million.

Thus, for January-July of the current year, out of every AZN 100 of insurance premiums collected in the life insurance market, AZN 43.2 were returned to customers, and out of every AZN 100 of insurance premiums collected in the non-life insurance market - AZN 30.9. These figures for the same period last year amounted to AZN 45.7 and AZN 37.3, respectively.
