Retail sales in eurozone declined

August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Retail sales in the eurozone for June decreased by 0.3% compared with the previous month. 

ABC.AZ reports that European statistical office Eurostat has published retail sales data on the European Union and the Eurozone for June.

In particular, retail sales in the EU in June declined by 0.2% versus the previous month and by 1.6% compared with Jun 2022.
Among the EU countries, the highest decline in retail sales in June compared with the previous month was in Slovenia — by 2.6%, in Romania — by 1.9% and Portugal — by 1.6%.
Compared with 2022, retail sales fell by 15.7% in Slovenia, by 8.7% in Estonia and by 8.3% in Hungary.
