July 18, Fineko/abc.az. Meta's new microblogging application Threads has already reached the fifth part of the weekly active Twitter user base worldwide.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to TechCrunch that the app has 86 times exceeded the weekly active user base of Truth Social, which was 1 million last week.

According to web analytics data, the use of Threads decreased significantly after a few days. According to the calculations of Sensor Tower, the number of daily active users on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week was a fifth less than on Saturday. In addition, they spent on average only half as much time on the app – 10 minutes a day.

"Such development of events shows that, despite the hype raised last Thursday, Threads will not be so easy to take a firm place in the daily lives of Internet users," Anthony Bartolacci, the manager of Sensor Tower, told CNBC.
