July 4, Fineko/abc.az. The EU countries delivered 1,259 tons of pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan for Jan-Apr 2023 (0.7% less versus Jan-Apr 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the EU statistical office Eurostat.

The value of imports reached €57.965 million (a rise of 10.4% year-on-year).

In April, the EU countries exported pharmaceutical products for €12.8 million to Azerbaijan (decline of 4.3% yoy). The three largest exporters included: Germany (€4.07 million, a rise of 43.8%), Hungary (€3.239 million, decline of 7.9%) and Slovenia (€1.56 million, a rise of 7.4%).

Over Jan-Apr 2023, Germany supplied pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan for €17 million, Hungary for €13.047 million, and Slovenia for €7.517 million.

According to Eurostat, EU countries exported 3,458 tons of pharmaceutical products to Azerbaijan in 2022 (a rise of 31.8% against 2021) for €137.6 million (a rise of 1.4%).
