March 9, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of cargo transit through Azerbaijan increased by more than 75% in 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said about this on March 9 at the opening ceremony of the X Global Baku Forum on the theme "The World of Today: Challenges & Hopes".

"Our modern transport infrastructure is in demand now more than ever before. Thanks to the railway connection, highways, the largest shipping fleet in the Caspian Sea, the largest air cargo fleet in the region, we have really made a great contribution to transport security. Since many countries now need transport security, they are looking for new routes. One of these routes passes through Azerbaijan," he added.
