March 7, Fineko/abc.az. Our country directed AZN 943 million for pension payments for the first 2 months of 2023 (by 15.8%, or AZN 128 million) more versus Jan-Feb 2022, ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection.

The average size of pensions grew by 18.5% to 423 manats, the average monthly size of old-age pensions grew by 18% up to 456 manats.

As a new stage of pension reform, the minimum pension has been increased from 240 to 280 manats since 1 February 2023.

Also in 2022, financial assistance to pensioners was increased, included in their pensions since the beginning of 2023.

After applying this increase, pensions were raised in 2022 by indexing the average monthly salary by 14.7% in accordance with the annual growth rate.

In two months of this year, 7,100 pensions were proactively implemented through the electronic system, and since the beginning of 2019 – 78,500 pension appointments.
