February 28, Fineko/abc.az. Property that does not have an inheritor will not pass to municipalities.

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law on the Transfer of Property to Municipal Ownership, considered at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Regional Issues.

According to the draft, property acquired as a result of the transfer of property that does not have an inheritor to municipalities is excluded from the list of sources of formation of municipal property.

The Civil Code, which is the main normative document concerning inheritance, does not provide for cases of transfer of property that does not have an inheritor to municipalities.
