February 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan extracted 4.2 bn cu m of natural gas in January 2023.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Energy that gas production at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli totaled 1.1 bn cu m, 2.3 bn cu m at Shah Deniz, 800 million cu m by SOCAR.

Compared with January 2022, gas extraction increased by 162 million cu m cu m or 4%.

Gas sales abroad for January 2023 reached 2.2 bn cu m (12% more than in January 2022).

This January, 1 bn cu m of gas were sold to Europe, 900 million cu m to Turkiye, 300 million cu m to Georgia.

About 500 million cu m of gas were transported to Turkiye via TANAP.
