Electricity exported by Azerbaijan has risen in price

January 30, Fineko/abc.az. Electricity exported by Azerbaijan has grown in price by 75%

In 2022, Azerenergy exported 1.71 bn kWh of electricity.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that the cost of electricity in this volume amounted to $121.6 million.

This is respectively 7.7% and 75.4% more than in 2021.

So, if in 2021 Azerenergy sold 1 kWh of electricity for $0.04, then in 2022 the cost increased by about 75% to $0.07.

Electricity exports for the reporting period made up 0.3% of Azerbaijan's total exports.
