January 13, Fineko/abc.az. The age of only 85,000 cars in Azerbaijan is up to 5 years, and more than 80% of cars are older than 10 years, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Rasim Sattarzade, Adviser to the Minister of Ecology & Natural Resources.

He noted that 7-8% of cars are over 40 years old: "This trend continues to grow from year to year. Therefore, it is advisable to purchase new cars. Starting from this year, exemption of hybrid cars and electric vehicles from customs duties will increase the percentage of use of eco-friendly cars."
