Oil gets more expensive, and Brent is at $79.09 a barrel

December 13, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are increasing in Tuesday's trading.

The price of February Brent crude futures at the London ICE Futures exchange rose by $1.10 (1.41%) to $79.09 per barrel by 10:05 am. Following the trading on 12 December, Brent crude futures for February rose by $1.89 (2.48%) to $77.99 per barrel.

By 10:05 am, the price of WTI crude oil futures for January on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) increased by $0.96 (1.31%) to $74.13 per barrel. Following the trading on 12 December, the price of January futures for WTI crude oil grew by $2.15 (3.03%) to $73.17 per barrel.

Last week, both types of oil lost more than 11% in price.
