October 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Turkish city of Izmir was visited by 1.221 million tourists for Jan-Sept 2022, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Izmir Culture & Tourism Department.

Azerbaijani citizens who visited Izmir for the past 9 months of 2022 are in Top 10 among foreign tourists.

Thus, 29,852 Azerbaijanis visited Izmir, and our compatriots are on the 8th line on this indicator.

And most of all tourists came to Izmir from Germany (438,445 people).

Germany is followed in Top 3 by the UK (132,867 people) and the Netherlands (83,553 people).
