September 2, Fineko/abc.az. After the start of the Ukrainian-Russian war, the issue of natural gas became one of the main issues on Europe's agenda.

There are many projects, one of which is Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria, the construction of which is nearing completion. Another similar project is the Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline (IAP). Azerbaijani gas will be transported to three Balkan countries through this pipeline.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated this in his speech on the topic "The role of Azerbaijan in ensuring energy security" at the 48th International Cernobbio Forum in Italy.

The Azerbaijani leader informed that Azerbaijan has recently received official requests from more than 10 countries - Georgia, Turkey, Italy, Bulgaria and others - either to increase existing gas supplies or to join the gas supply.
