Electricity prices rise in EU countries

August 22, Fineko/abc.az. In the countries of the European Union, electricity and gas prices are breaking new records.

ABC.AZ reports that the price of electricity on the market on August 23 exceeded 600 euros per MW/h, subject to delivery.

According to the Nord Pool electricity exchange, today the price of electricity has reached 605.13 euros per 1 MW / h in Denmark,  615.75 euros in Austria, 603.38 euros in Belgium, 605.13 euros in Germany,  611.85 euros in France, 603.55 euros in the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, in Finland, electricity prices rose to a record 494.98 euros per 11 MW of electricity. The reason for the rise in energy prices is the rise in gas prices in Europe.

So, today, on August 22, the price of gas in Europe rose to a record level to over $3,000 per 1 cubic meter, which is the highest price since March 2022.
