June 8, Fineko/abc.az. Russia’s largest private airline S7 Airlines has decided to freeze the low-budget Citrus project, which is scheduled to begin flights in the summer of 2022.

ABC.AZ reports that according to company’s official representative, under the current conditions, S7 Group freezes the project of the low-budget airline Citrus.

"In 2022, there will be no deliveries of aircraft necessary to launch a low-budget airline, so the development of an airline with such a business model is now, unfortunately, impossible. A decision on the future of the project will be made before the end of the year,” the source said.
