Oil falls in value after its rise the day before, and Brent is at $117.21 a barrel

June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are declining in Friday’s trading after growth the day before amid the U.S. Department of Energy’s data on falling inventories.

At the London ICE Futures Exchange the August’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.40 (0.34%) to $117.21 per barrel by 09:09. Following the trading on 2 June, the price of August’s Brent crude futures grew by $1.32 (1.14%) up to $117.61 per barrel.

At the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the July’s WTI oil futures by 09:10 fell in price by $0.59 (0.50%) to $116.28 per barrel. Following the trading on 2 June, the price of WTI oil futures for July rose by $1.61 (1.40%) up to $116.87 per barrel.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, country’s oil reserves fell by 5.07 million barrels last week. Analysts on average predicted a moderate reduction - by 2.1 million barrels.
