April 27, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2022 the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision under the Economy Ministry considered 1,975 appeals from consumers.
ABC.AZ reports that Service’s head Mammad Abbasbeyli wrote about this in a social network.
During this period, AZN 118,638 were returned to consumers based on satisfied requests, and damage in the amount of AZN 11,535 was compensated.
When considering the nature of appeals, complaints about defects and poor quality of goods (services) prevail among them. 56% of all appeals concerned defective and substandard goods, 17% - deception of consumers in the bill, weight and price, 3% - violation of the terms of the contract, 1% - failure to provide consumers with the necessary and reliable information, 23% - other violations of consumer rights.
It was noted that 819 appeals were satisfied, explanations and recommendations were given for 667 appeals.
